(GPDN)-The upcoming UN NGO Annual Conference will be held in August 2014 at the New York City. Subjects of global climate, human rights, and sustainable development will be discussed by representatives through panel discussions, round table meetings, general assembly, exhibitions, and various activities. The focus will be: “2015 and Beyond: Our Action Agenda”, hoping to come up with constructive suggestions for the sustainable development in 2015 and beyond. For years, Association of World Citizen,NGO in Consultative Status with ECOSOC and Associated with the UN DPI, the Federation of Peace and Love, and the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy have been participating in the conference and providing suggestions. This year, they invite NGO leaders and the participants of the UN/NGO Annual Conference to promote the “Movement of An Era of Conscience” and to endorse the “Declaration for the Movement of An Era of Conscience”, which appeal to people around the world, regardless their races, nationalities, and religions, to safeguard their conscience, to gather the world citizens’ conscience to save the world from crises, and make possible the passage to a true era of conscience.
In the face of the escalating geopolitical tensions and deteriorating living environments, human being's survival is subjected to mounting challenges. Association of World Citizen,NGO in Consultative Status with ECOSOC and Associated with the UN DPI, the Federation of Peace and Love, and the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy take the initiative to the Movement of an Era of Conscience. The founder of the movement, Dr. Hong Tao Tze pointed out: “Goodwill is the positive energy to ensure the sustainable development of the earth.” Everyone can be the master of conscience, influences the people around, holds together the conscience of world citizens, and unites with one another to save the world and to ensure a sustainable world. The Chairman of the UN/NGO Association of World Citizen, Dr. Rene Wadlow, describes conscience as the ears in one’s heart. And people should listen to the voice carefully to tell what should we do, and should not do. He said: “We have conscience, so we will not let ourselves be deceived. We will stay alert and maintain a sense of truth, justice, and morality.”
Chief of Public Affairs of the Federation of World Peace and Love, Michael Selfridge, said, until now, there has been people from 162 nations, over 40 heads of nations, governments, and UN ambassadors who have congratulated and responded to the Movement of an Era of Conscience. On August 17, the grand opening of the global endorsement of the “Declaration for the Movement of an Era of Conscience” was held in San Jose, the world technology center. Federal congressmen, Mayor of the City of Cupertino, Mayor of the City of Sacramento, Mayor of the City of Milpitas, and VIPs from America, India, New Zealand, China, Iran, Canada, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Korea, and Philippine witnessed the grand opening. The declaration proclaims that “2014 is the critical moment to open the opportunity of conscience, to usher in energies of conscience, to unite people of the world, to smooth away sufferings, to harvest the fruits of virtue, and to enter a true era of conscience.” Everyone agrees with the idea is invited to become the international volunteer of the Movement for An Era of Conscience, who can promote the idea of love and peace in every corner of the world, regardless of his/her identity, race, and nationality, and to spread the seeds of virtue to human hearts. Human hearts are the origins of energies. Only through the communications of hearts to hearts can people be guided to do good deeds, to spare the world of sufferings, fears, pains, and wars.
Until now, there have been over 1.35 million visits to the website of An Era of Conscience (www.aneoc.org). Over ten thousand people post to the website with of texts, images, recorded voices, pictures, and even comics to express their thoughts. In addition, altogether there have been over ten thousands news reports, website links, and promotion films from 500 media for the Movement of An Era of Conscience. The website has until now collected words of conscience from all five continents, including heads of nations, presidents, prime ministers, professors, the press, entrepreneurs, principles, students, and house wives. Noble Peace Prize winner, Mr. Muhammad Yunus, said: Human should not only think of themselves, they should also think of others, this is the character of human beings. Prime Minister of Tanzania, H.E. Mizengo P. Pinda, said that “If we make enough effort, we can win this war. Like the Era of Conscience, everyone desires love and peace.” The president of the Republic of Latvia, Mr. Andris Berzins, wished a great success of the Movement of An Era of Conscience. He hopes that the idea of love and peace can be spread to the world and everybody has peace in his/her heart. The Prime Minister of the Great Britain, Mr. David Cameron, approves of the Movement and said that the Movement is the “Core of the British foreign policy.” The President of Kazakh, Mr. Nursultan Nazarbayev, also expressed his support, saying that “there are over one hundred different races living happily in this land, and the government plays an important role in maintain good relationship between races.” The winner of the 2002 UN/ESCO Peace Education Award, Dr. Jagdish Gandhi pointed out: “The Movement of An Era of Conscience brings great potential to the society for an important and positive change, which will sparks the fire of peace to create a butterfly effect. This movement can change the fate of humanity altogether.
The founder of the Movement of An Era of Conscience, Dr. Hong Tao Tze, said: “If everybody has conscience, the world is in peace, all people live in happiness, and all families are blessed.” Your words of conscience and the good deeds you do will have great to all kinds of walks, families, societies, nations, and the world.
